XenSource RPMs

XenSource provide a few binary and source RPMs for RHEL4. They may been useful on GridGateways :-

HELP You need to register to download here and will receive an automatic email with a list of URLs (doesn't take long). To be fair, the resulting URLs probably do not belong in this public Wiki.

These RPMs work on CentOS 4.3 but are not supported by XenSource, then neither is any other part of Xen except via mailing lists.

Simplify XenInstall

The xen RPM removes a number of steps from the XenInstall instructions.

Other changes:

Naming of initrd :-

  • CentOS default and image generated by xen RPM is initrd-VER.img
  • XenInstall example is inconsistently initrd.img-VER

Shorter named links are created from xen-3.gz, vmlinux-2.6-xen and initrd-2.6-xen.img.

Requires lksctp-tools to be removed.
